Welcome little Richy
There are some families you meet through photography, and others who become part of your life along the way. Kelly is one of those special people. We met at Mayo Clinic, and I was so happy when she invited me to document this beautiful new chapter in her life.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are some of my favorites because they are about so much more than the baby. They are about the love, the connection, the little details, and the feeling of a family becoming four-legged-and-two-legged bigger all at once.
Meet Richard Conrad III, a beautiful baby boy surrounded by so much love. Proud new dad Richard is carrying on a very special family tradition: his first son was given his name, just as he carries his own father's name. There is something incredibly meaningful about seeing a family tradition continue into another generation.
And then there is Nala. 🐾
Nala is still figuring out exactly what her new role as big sister means. But one thing was very clear during our session: she was absolutely convinced that this photo session was all about her! She made sure to be part of the action, keeping a close eye on her new baby brother and adding her own personality to these family memories.
The result? The kind of images I love most—beautiful, natural, timeless family photographs that feel almost like pages from a magazine, while still capturing the genuine love and personality of this family.
These are the photographs that will take them back to this season of life years from now: the tiny fingers, the new-parent smiles, the proud dad, the beautiful mama, and the family dog learning to share the spotlight.
